The designs for a deliciously designed 5km monorail designed for Bologna has been released. Linking the airport to the City Centre, the line has been designed to minimise the footprint and impact of such a project whilst providing solar power via the stations. The design is smooth and blends with the rolling geography, and if built would provide not only a means of transport but a strong architectural statement to enhance the city. If only more cities would think along the lines of aesthetics and practicalities.
